Shaquille O’Neal Defends LeBron James And Says He Is The Greatest

2 Min Read

Shaquille O’Neal has come in LeBron James’ defense after all the criticism the King received following the Los Angeles Lakers’ first-round elimination against the Phoenix Suns.

James lost a first-round series for the first time in his career, succumbing to Devin Booker, Chris Paul, and Deandre Ayton. After the series was over, the 4x NBA champion was subject to slander from people happy to see him lose.

Several stars, especially rookies, reacted to this and called people out for celebrating a professional athlete’s failure. LeBron is a polarizing figure, but people take things too far when it comes to him.

That’s why Shaq also signed his name on the list of LeBron’s defenders, commenting a post of an RJ Hampton tweet defending James. O’Neal said that he received the same type of criticism, but that’s normal when you’re great. Moreover, he called LeBron the ‘greatest.’

“Actually they talked down on me. It comes with the territory and just like LeBron, our legacy is in forever mode. #Lebronisthegreatest,” Shaq wrote.

Even after all the things he’s done in his career, James gets a lot of criticism every day. He’s one of the best players to ever set foot on an NBA court, yet people always throw shade at him.

One day an NBA season will start and we won’t have Bron in the league. So it’s time to acknowledge that he is excellent and earned everything he’s won in the association.
