LeBron James played his second game after returning to action again this week. The King tried to help the Lakers avoid the play-in tournament, playing in the last two games of the regular season, but that wasn’t enough for them.
The Lakers did win the last two games against the Indiana Pacers and New Orleans Pelicans, respectively, but other results forced them to play at least one extra game to secure their spot in the 2021 playoffs.
Many fans believe things would have been different for them should LeBron didn’t get injured, and the 4x NBA champion thinks the same. After the match was over, he addressed his fitness and what changed for him after playing the ‘best basketball of his career’.
Bron seemingly took a shot at Solomon Hill, the player that rolled over his ankle last March 20, when everything started going wrong for the purple and gold.
“I had a grown man diving at my leg for a loose ball,” LBJ said after the Lakers beat the Pelicans, 110-98.
LeBron said he was playing some of the best ball of his career before the ankle injury.
“I had a grown man diving at my leg for a loose ball.”
Said there is frustration about what could have been that he’s tried not to focus upon. But defending title obviously the big goal.

This clearly shows how frustrated James was during his recovery process and even now. The Lakers were already trying to get their touch without Anthony Davis when they had to see the King sidelined with another injury.

The 2020/21 NBA season hasn’t been easy for the 17th NBA champions, and now they’ll have to face an inspired Stephen Curry in the play-in tournament, which isn’t precisely LeBron’s preference.
That is going to be an excellent matchup to watch for the rest of the NBA. The Lakers will try to bring their A-Game, and they will need it to beat Curry and co.
