Kwame Brown is surprisingly the man of the hour around the NBA after going on a lengthy rant over his NBA career and all the criticism he received.

One of the lowest points of his career came when Kobe had one of his highest, scoring 81 points on the Toronto Raptors in January 2006. The Black Mamba went off, torching them throughout the entire game.

Several years after that game, NBA fans keep mocking Brown for combining 82 points with Kobe during that night. In recent hours, he sat down and talked about it, asking fans if that wasn’t what they wanted since they all loved to see Kobe shooting and scoring.

“Yeah, me and Kobe dropped 82 combined and we won. ‘See you little punk n***a ain’t number one,’ then they never sacrificed. Let me get this straight. So everybody love Kobe Bryant and wanted and wanted to see him score and wanted to see him shoot. So he scored and he shot and the people around him didn’t get that many shots and they didn’t score and you mad? Didn’t you get what you wanted? Are you not entertained? He hit 81 m*********ing points. Did you see the screens I was setting, n***a? The f**k is wrong with you? Are you not entertained? What do you n****s want? That’s why I don’t listen to you.”

Truth be told, Brown scored more than one point that game, dropping 3 on the Raptors. He also caught 10 rebounds to contribute to the Lakers’ 122-104 win.

That night Kobe was on another level. You just had to see him going at it to know that was going to be a magical night for him. The Black Mamba wrote another incredible chapter on his career 15 years ago. Two decades later, people are still discussing how outstanding that performance was.

Kobe was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on Saturday in a very emotional ceremony. Among all the stories that people remembered about him, that night at the Staples Center.

Brown never did what he was expected to do in the association. After playing alongside Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, the man was never the same.
