NBA Twitter Flames Luka Doncic After Questionable Play Against The Cavs

NBA Central

Luka Doncic has extraordinary talent, and nobody is arguing otherwise. What he has been able to do over the past few seasons has been nothing short of amazing.

And while Doncic has done a great job staying away from controversy, he recently got put in hot water by the NBA community after footage showed one play he made against Cavs guard Collin Sexton.

In the video, it appears like Luka intentionally punches Sexton in the groin as he goes up for the rebound, leading many to believe Doncic plays this type of “dirty” ball all the time.

We can’t say for certain what Luka was thinking there, but NBA Twitter was not so kind, as many of them took to criticizing the young Mavs star.

How is there so many people defending this dude in these comments 🤦‍♂️ he literally intentionally hit another man in the balls that is some sus shit.

There were actually a surprising number of people defending Luka, with claims that it wasn’t intentional and he shouldn’t have gotten ejected at all.

No matter your opinion on the matter, the topic has definitely taken over the headlines today.

As for what the Mavericks can hope to do in the future, they’re finishing out the season pretty well, and are currently on a 4-game win streak. So long as Luka continues to do their thing, there isn’t a reason to believe they can’t make some noise in the West this year.

Hopefully, though, he doesn’t get caught up in any more scandals.
