DeMarcus Cousins And Rajon Rondo Will Play Together For The Fourth Time Since 2015-2016

The Los Angeles Clippers are signing big man DeMarcus Cousins to a 10-day contract, making a low-risk move with the center, who will try to help this team fix their struggles this season. Boogie can bring a lot to the Clippers if he stays healthy, but the team wants to go slow with him.

He’s returning to Los Angeles after signing with the Lakers prior to the 2019/20 season and now it’s time to join the other Angelenos team. That is not the only curious fact about this signing, though, as one Redditor called ‘Savvy_m4a’ found out that this is the fourth time since the 2015/16 NBA season that Cousins and Rajon Rondo will be teammates.

Rondo and Boogie have now been teammates with each other on four different teams in the past 6 years.

With the Kings and Pelicans, they didn’t have much success, but things could have been different for them if Boogie stayed healthy with the Lakers. He suffered a season-ending injury while playing a pickup game, which prevented him from playing with the purple and gold. They went to win the NBA championship last October, with Playoffs Rondo becoming the third-best player on the team on their way to the Finals.

Now they have the chance to win something with the Clippers, led by Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. They went to the same college, Kentucky, and their relationship has always been great on and off the court. But, if you want to know why they get along so well, Kobe Bryant once explained they share a characteristic: they’re both a**holes.

“In the words of Kobe. We’re both a**holes. We’re both hardheaded,” Rondo said when asked about his relationship with Cousins.

It’s interesting to see what they are going to do now that they have the chance to compete for important things together and bring a championship to the Clippers for the first time in franchise history.
