“The Brooklyn Nets Are Like The Avengers. It’s Too Many People On One Team,” Says Comedian Roy Wood Jr.

With Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden, the Brooklyn Nets have a core that can compete with anyone in the NBA. After adding Blake Griffin and LaMarcus Aldridge to the fold, they only solidified their chances to win even further.

Of course, as the NBA’s newest superteam, the Nets have to embrace their role as the villains — as there are many who are actively rooting against them.

For comedian Roy Wood Jr., he compared the squad to the Avengers, citing that it was all to beat a 36-year-old LeBron.

“Yo man this is like the avengers. I need time to learn all these characters. It’s too many people all on one team,” Roy Wood Jr. said on ESPN’s Jalen & Jacoby.

“If it takes all of that and they still can’t beat LeBron, I don’t want to hear anything else about LeBron’s legacy. That’s what this is all about. This is all about trying to beat a 36-year-old man with right now kind of a weak ankle but you know every time you see LeBron, he’s in better shape than the last time you saw him.”

It sounds like hyperbole, but many around the community feel the same exact way.

LeBron, who was 35 when he won his fourth title, has once again proved he is the best player in the NBA. In response, the Nets go out and assemble a super squad, the likes of which we haven’t seen since the KD-led Warriors.

Just like the Avengers, these “superheroes” have united together to face a common enemy. Only, in this case, it’s the Nets who are playing the bad guys.
