Karl-Anthony Towns Wants To Prove That He Can Win: “I’ve Proved Myself In This League. I Truly Believe That… But Now What I Have To Prove Is Can I Win? I Think That’s The Next Step. I Have To Do Whatever It Takes.”

Karl-Anthony Towns is one of the best centers in the league. Towns is a sharpshooting center that can also score inside. Towns has long been billed as a future superstar, and his numbers have backed it up. However, the Timberwolves are still an abysmal team despite Towns’ presence. They are dead last in the Western Conference, and that is not a good position to be in, considering the talent on the team.

Recently, Karl-Anthony Towns has stated that his primary goal is to win. Towns mentioned that he believes that he proved his own ability in the NBA, but the next step is leading his team to wins. He knows that the pressure is on him, as the primary superstar on the team.

Karl-Anthony Towns says he's had his chance to "chase stats" and "that shit is over".

He says he knows that's the word on him.

"At the end of the day, the word on me is still gonna be the word. There’s only one way to change the narrative, and that’s to go beat the narrative.” pic.twitter.com/rBgZP3qzmg

There are challenges that come with being in a franchise that has been mismanaged in the past. However, despite their record, the Minnesota Timberwolves have some talented players that will only get better next season. Perhaps Towns can be one of the superstars that can change the narrative on small markets not being able to win. Karl-Anthony Towns has the talent to become a generational superstar: hopefully, he can make the most of it, and show that he deserves all the praise.
