DiVincenzo laughed off the attempt, even hitting the ‘Too Small’ gesture on himself afterward.

It was a hilarious moment in the game, as players on both benches and the announcers, were laughing at DiVincenzo’s misfortune. While he laughed it off, the former NBA champion would have been thrilled to get a dunk on one of the tallest players in NBA history.
Wembanyama did play strong defense to make the attempt difficult, and one can make the argument that his effort was enough to derail the Villanova guard’s attempt and get the ball to bounce on the rim and out of the game. For what it’s worth, the dunk wouldn’t have counted, as DiVincenzo was called for an offensive foul.
Wemby seemed to make an instant highlight of his own tonight, albeit before the game. During warm-ups, Wembanyama shot from the free-throw line all the way to the opposite end of the court and made the shot with relative ease.

This is one of the most memorable moments of Donte DiVincenzo’s stint with the Timberwolves so far. Since being traded by the Knicks, he hasn’t really made a massive impact with last year’s Western Conference finalists.
