‘If Prime Carmelo Anthony Played On All LeBron Teams Instead Of LeBron, He Would Have At Least 3 Championships By Now’, Says NBA Fan

One NBA fan made a really hot cake about Carmelo Anthony and his NBA career, who has been great individually speaking but not so good when you talk about collective achievements. Melo is great, no doubt about it, but he’s yet to win an NBA championship.

One fan called “@russandroses” recently made a bold statement about the veteran, claiming that if he had the teams that LeBron James had in his career, Anthony would have won at least three championships.

Hot take:

If Prime Carmelo Anthony played on all LeBron Teams instead of LeBron he would have atleast 3 championships by now but you all ain't ready for this debate pic.twitter.com/RsKwVqXOlB

— Dennis ✝️🎮🏀🏈 (@RussNRoses) January 29, 2021

Of course, that sparked the debate and some fans agreed with “Russ” while others made the case against Anthony, explaining he doesn’t have the ability to win, unlike LeBron James, who proved that with the Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers.

The fact that lebron has been to the finals with no all stars twice voids this entire argument. Melo has been on contending teams and didn’t go to the finals. In 2013 the knicks split the season series with the heat yet got swept in the playoffs. Lebron dominated melo

Im not in any way saying that Melo > Bron…

However Prime Melo was a beast & with the good ass teams & rather weak competition on some of Brons chips run he would definitely be able to win some…

Especially considering the Heat years

— Dennis ✝️🎮🏀🏈 (@RussNRoses) January 29, 2021

LeBron went to the finals four times with Miami. If Carmelo had that team they woulda at least one once

— Curry Allen Miller (@SteadyCeddy) January 29, 2021

No one is ready for this debate, because there isn't one lmao. Prime Melo ain't taking Sasha, Big Z, Marshall and Boobie to a free ride Finals albeit the Cavs got swept…but that would've never happened. Someone already mentioned he would've been 2nd fiddle in Miami.

Two “good” teams in 11+ seasons…. Bron Hasn’t played on a “bad” team since 07… In 09 Melo went up against and lost the eventual champs in the playoffs in a tough series. With the Knicks, 12 they lost to the Heat who won the Chip, and 13 the team was old and had some injuries.

No but the Heat still win atleast 2 & If hes still Prime Melo he wins last years cakewalk too …

Nah, because I dont think Melo couldve beaten teams like the Spurs, Celtics (when everyone was somewhat healthy, or the Heat last year. He only has 3 years where he shot efficiently in the playoffs, his defensive would have him getting cooked by guys like DeRozan, Rose, Pierce –

— Meh😒 (@meh_linmusclan) January 29, 2021

if he played on the LeBron teams he would’ve been a second option in Miami during his prime years

— Andrew 🐅 (@SixersAndrew) January 29, 2021

And further, just think about that. We are putting Prime Melo in place of 36 year old lebron on the Lakers and I don’t even think it’s a guarantee he wins the bubble ship. The gap between them is the Grand Canyon

— Harrison Brooks (@Brooksey34) January 30, 2021

He would've won 1 with the Heat. Prime Carmelo was an iso black hole. Prime Carmelo was so-so on defense. Prime Carmelo had trouble sharing the ball.

They would've won on talent in his second season with the Heat. They wouldve had a hard time with the Spurs w/Kawhi

— Hearing Crickets (@hearingcrickets) January 30, 2021

LeBron has 4 rings, and you’re saying Melo would win at least 3 with the same teams bron had. I don’t see how this is even a debate. You’re not saying Melo > Bron. You’re saying Melo could’ve won a chip or two with some good teams as well. I’d agree.

— 愛 Kaze (@SunagakureKaze) January 30, 2021

😂😂 he’s played he had Billups/Iverson, Je smith, Kenyon Martin, NeNe all the the same team together before they were old with the nuggets

— The choosen 1 (@Keefkang) January 29, 2021

Funny take I'd say… but nop. For starters Miami was a deffensive minded team in which LBJ was able to deffend every position… In the case of Melo… Well… You know… Ehm great pleayer though 😶

— NBAMotiv23 (@nbamotiv23) January 30, 2021

No lies

— Hussein (@h_deezymaaz24) January 30, 2021

Lol how this is prime melo on all levels teams but you won’t give prime born to all his teams smh 🤦‍♂️😂 melo didn’t work with a big 3 remember ? Or you forget so easily, I love melon but he ain’t built for chips

— Jesse Bickers (@JBick21) January 29, 2021

Not a single team LeBron has ever played on wins a chanpionship or makes it to the finals if Carmelo replaces him.

Your right we are not ready because it’s
Not true

— Deshaunsaballer (@deshaunsaballer) January 30, 2021

My EXACT reaction. This gotta be Steven A’s burner 💀😂

— Mister Man (@Mr_Lumii) January 30, 2021

Not what this says at all lmao…
Literally said if Melo played on those teams INSTEAD of Lebron

— Jake (@JustJakeyLocks) January 30, 2021

Carmelo Anthony has signed his name on the list of the greatest NBA players who have never won a ring. Melo was part of great teams in his career with the Denver Nuggets and New York Knicks but he never took that last step to compete for a championship and now that he’s a 36-year-old, his window seems to be closed.

He’s part of the Portland Trail Blazers now, a very interesting team that could compete in the West but injuries have taken a toll on them for the last couple of seasons, preventing them from winning a championship.

It’s unclear how this will end for Melo and his team but he’s not getting any younger and the competition is getting hard in the NBA.
