Giannis Antetokounmpo and Luka Doncic are two of the most promising players in the NBA right now. They share a lot of similarities and people will always compare them because of that. They are expected to become two of the biggest stars in the league in a couple of seasons but they still have things to polish about their game.

Something that they need to improve is their 3-point shooting, which has earned them a lot of criticism in the last couple of years. Both players are urged to work on that aspect of their games if they want to reach the next level and become complete superstars in the association. In this league, if you truly want to be elite, you have to have consistent 3-point shooting.

This season things haven’t started well for these players but there is one stat that will raise a lot of eyebrows around the league. Giannis is actually shooting better from beyond the arc than Doncic. The Greek Freak is a monster attacking the rim but people have urged him to expand his game and adding a jump shot is primordial for him. Although he’s not Stephen Curry, Giannis is currently shooting for 30.5% from deep, which is 4.5% better than Luka.

Doncic is currently averaging 26.0% from beyond the arc, 5.6% less than he averaged last year. The Slovenian player is considered the favorite to win the MVP award this season but so far he’s struggled to find his touch. Luka raised the bar for himself last season and this one, people expect a lot more from him. So far, he’s been struggling to be good with the Mavs but as soon as he gets in shape and starts draining those 3s, the league will know.

These two are the future of the NBA and European basketball. They carry a lot of expectations and fans can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.
