Colin Cowherd Compares LeBron James And Kevin Durant: “KD Couldn’t Make Kyrie Work For 3 Weeks. LeBron Made It Work For 3 Years.”

Kyrie Irving is the NBA’s biggest enigma.

For the past few years, he has been making headlines for his rather outlandish comments. Now, he’s in the news for going AWOL on the Nets, missing the past couple of games for reasons that have still yet to be determined.

On “The Herd,” FOX Sports’ Colin Cowherd used the whole situation to compare the leadership of LeBron James and Kevin Durant and their handling of Kyrie.

“KD couldn’t make Kyrie work for 3 weeks. LeBron made it work for 3 years.”

James Harden going to the Nets illustrates the difference between LeBron and Kevin Durant:

Obviously, James played with Uncle Drew when he was much younger, but it took much longer for things to collapse. For three years, they were teammates, playing together and even winning a Championship in 2016.

With Durant, it was only taken a few weeks for things to sour and the drama to pour in. The situation with Kyrie, the Nets, the media, and the NBA community couldn’t be much worse.

There are some serious differences in each situation, but the facts remain the same: LeBron was able to maximize his time with Irving like no other superstar has.

But we’ll see soon enough how it all ends.
