NBA Rumors: Nets, Rockets Have Re-Opened James Harden Trade Talks

2 Min Read

By all accounts, James Harden’s time with the Houston Rockets is going to end at some point in the not-too-distant future. Amid increasing pressure from Harden and growing competition in the West, it seems inevitable that the Rockets will accept their fate and eventually call it a close on the Harden era.

According to Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson, one team they’ve circled back to in trade talks is the Brooklyn Nets, who were among the first to be involved in discussions.

Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving have looked solid in their preseason reps together, showing their scoring talents and proving to the world that they will be a threat in the upcoming season.

Adding James Harden to that (an 8x All-Star, 1x MVP, and 3x Scoring Champ), and there’s really no stressing how powerful they’d become.

The question is, can the Nets beat out their competition to form the best offer, or will they be beaten out by another team? A package of Spencer Dinwiddie, Caris LeVert, and picks certainly seems intriguing, but it might not be enough to land one of the best scorers of the modern basketball era.

We’ll just have to see for ourselves how things play out in the end.
