With plans to ink a supermax extension with the Milwaukee Bucks, Giannis Antetokoumpo has set himself up to become one of the NBA’s highest-paid players.
In fact, owed roughly $228 million, the Greek Freak will be at the top of the list in terms of highest valued contracts, joining a list of his peers at the top that includes Steph Curry, Russell Westbrook, and Damian Lillard.

Of course, some fans noted some players who probably don’t belong this high up on the pay role — like Tobias Harris and Khris Middleton.

Not matter who you think has earned it or not, players today are being rewarded more financially than we’ve ever seen before. Giannis’ new contract, which is the biggest in NBA history, is the perfect reflection of that.
If he is able to live up to that paycheck, can you imagine what more we might see from him in the next few years to come?
