Damian Lillard Has A Hilarious Reaction To The Idea Of Giannis Antetokounmpo Joining The Blazers

There have been countless rumors about Giannis Antetokounmpo’s future with the Milwaukee Bucks, as the reigning MVP and Defensive Player of the Year is eligible to sign the largest contract extension in NBA history.

Giannis has constantly affirmed his desire to stay with the Bucks and build a winning culture there but somehow, NBA analysts, media, and fans don’t buy it. At the end of the day, we’ve seen this happen over and over and more often than not, stars wind up leaving to join a big market.

That’s why everybody’s trying to figure out Giannis’ next stop, with a lot of people putting together hypothetical trade offers and photoshopping The Greek Freak in almost every single jersey in the league.

This time, a Twitter user speculated that Giannis could end up joining the Portland Trail Blazers, hinting that Damian Lillard would finally be able to lead them to an NBA Championship if he were to team up with the 25-year-old forward.

Lillard, who’s quite active on social media, didn’t hesitate to react to that baseless rumor, simply typing some emojis that showed how unfazed he was by that story.

Damian Lillard has constantly affirmed his desire to stay with the Portland Trail Blazers until he retires and he’s the kind of player who would rather grind and fight with bones and nails rather than teaming up with superstars.

However, I’m pretty sure that he wouldn’t mind getting some help from one of the best two-way players in the world, especially considering how poorly their defense fared this season.

The Blazers have a nice core to put together another deep playoff run next season but are still one star away from being a legit Championship contender. However, it just doesn’t seem likely that they’ll land Giannis.
