Following Game 1’s rather unexciting domination, everybody though the Clippers had this series in the bag — and they still might.
But today, in a rather shocking turn of events, it is Denver who came out on top in dramatic fashion. Murray and Jokic combined for 53 points on the night to help claim the 110-101 win the team.
On Twitter, the NBA community expressed major shock as many questioned what might be in store for the series moving forward…

Clippers had some an easy time with Denver in Game 1 that they decided to take tonight off, especially on defense. Gave up 72 in the first half. Embarrassing, even though Denver came out hot. Played mad, made shots. Clippers in five.

All-in-all, you have to give major props to Denver for coming out and responding in such a big way after that Game 1 debacle. Despite many calling the series over, they made adjustments, brought energy, and took care of business to tie the series up at one game apiece.
But is this sustainable or was it just the result of a flukish off night for the Clips? We’ll find out soon enough.
