The Cleveland Cavaliers have unveiled their black Statement Edition jerseys and the design looks very good. They would love them if it wasn’t for a little detail; these jerseys have the Michael Jordan Jumpman logo on them and their fans are really pissed with this decision.

Our black Statement Edition jersey, color and style will forever be associated with the 2016 NBA Championship, now stitched with MJ’s spirit of drive, determination and success. pic.twitter.com/H8lXejhB5B

Every NBA team will have a similar design but some fans won’t accept that. The Cavaliers fans took to Twitter to show their anger with these new uniforms, calling out the team for doing this, even though they didn’t have a choice.

That’s a slap in the face to Cavs fans to wear a Jordan brand logo on the chest and to associate it with him and our 2016 championship. Whomever approved this needs to be fired!

Michael Jordan was a Cav killer! He does not belong on these jerseys.

You put Jordon on a Cav's jersey? After the shot? What in the actual F%$# is wrong with you people?

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a fanbase going crazy over these statement edition jerseys. Back in July, the Detroit Pistons fans did something similar when the team unveiled the their univof

Jordan’s history with the Cavs dates from his playing days and things took a different dimension during Game 5 of the 1989 Eastern Conference first round, when he hit “The Shot” to send the Bulls to the second round.

That play was iconic for Jordan and very painful for the Cavaliers and their fans. No wonder they feel
this disdain with the new uniforms.
