Giannis Antetokounmpo is the reigning NBA MVP and one of the best players on the planet.
Averaging 29.5 points, 13.6 rebounds, and 1 block per game, his game isn’t limited to one end of the floor — and people are taking notice.
Per The Athletic’s Shams Charania, Antetokounmpo has won the NBA’s 2019-20 Defensive Player of the Year award.

Giannis led the Bucks to the best record in the NBA this season, and that’s in no small part to how he plays defensively.
His length and athleticism allow him to lock up any opposing player, and the Bucks as a team ranked first in defensive rating at 102.5.
Well deserved win for Giannis, but is it the only award he’ll win this season? As the front-runner for MVP, he may end up with two before it’s all said and done.
