Potential #1 pick Anthony Edwards has revealed who he believes is the greatest basketball player of all time and his response is quite unique. Edwards sat down with Bleacher Report’s Taylor Rooks before the NBA shutdown to discuss a variety of topics, including the always-controversial GOAT debate.
Most of the time, the two players mentioned in these debates are Michael Jordan and LeBron James, but Edwards has a different response to that question.
To Edwards, Kevin Durant is already the greatest player to ever do it, claiming he’s better than Jordan and LeBron (9:15 minute mark).
“Ever. ‘Cause he’s [Durant] 7-feet and can do everything a point guard can do… He make people miserable when they gotta guard him.”
He didn’t hesitate to pick KD, even after Rooks asked him if KD was the GOAT over Jordan and LeBron.
This kid is seen as one of the best players in this year’s draft and is already making noise, although he’s doing it off the court. Hopefully, he’ll play against Kevin Durant next year and will see how hard it is to guard KD firsthand. The future is bright for this young man, who hinted he’d like to play with the Golden State Warriors or stay home and play with Trae Young, John Collins and co. on the Atlanta Hawks.
