Kyle Kuzma: “I Think Jesus Could Be In Front Of Me And I’ll Prolly Still Shoot.”

Kyle Kuzma saved the night for the Los Angeles Lakers after shooting a game-winner over none other than 7-foot-2 sensation Bol Bol to beat the Denver Nuggets, 124-121. With the game tied, Kuz caught the pass and shot a three that would mean the victory for his team. Frank Vogel drew a play for Kuz specifically, not LeBron James or Anthony Davis.

Well, the young player delivered when his team needed it the most and gave a very valuable win to the Lakers.

Kuz sank a three-pointer in front of Bol Bol after a pass from Anthony Davis and made everybody go crazy with his shot. Everybody congratulated him after that shot, especially knowing who was guarding him, but Kuz was feeling pretty confident.

After the game, he confirmed he was feeling himself, delivering an all-time quote that will be hard to forget. When asked about the difficulty of having Bol as his defender, Kuz simply said he could shoot in front of anybody, including Jesus Christ.

“I think Jesus could be in front of me and I’d probably still shoot,” Kuzma said. “I mean, it doesn’t really matter to me. I got an open look. It’s a play we kind of ran in practice a few times prior to the restart, and Coach had faith in me and called my number and it paid off.”

Before the shutdown, the player was struggling to find his spot on the team but now things have gotten better for him. He’s currently averaging 16 points per game in the bubble on 44.4 percent shooting from deep. It looks like the Lakers found their third star just in time for the postseason.
