As Dame led a comeback charge for Portland, the twitter world erupted with responses from shocked fans.

But for one Twitter user, he found out the hard way that not even the excitement of a basketball game excuses you from being flamed on social media.

After mentioning a play by Marcus Smart (in which he rips the bell from Carmelo Anthony), he talked about Bill Russell “looking down from heaven smiling” as if he were dead.

The Celtics legend actually responded to the Tweet to let the world know he was alive and well. And, in case you haven’t guessed, it was pretty entertaining.
