Scottie Pippen Says The Rockets ‘Could Cause Some Problems’ In The Bubble

Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen has tipped the Houston Rockets to have a great performance in the Orlando bubble, as long as they get the right momentum when the NBA returns. The Rockets made some bold moves in the season and they were playing small ball before the NBA suspended the season in March after Rudy Gobert tested positive for COVID-19.

Now every team is ready to start with fresh hopes of making the playoffs or getting a better spot for the big party. The Rockets are currently 6th in the West, tied with the Oklahoma City Thunder with a 40-24 record. They’re ready to shock the world and Austin Rivers feels his team has a very good chance to do so.

Pippen sees them as a threat in the West but everything depends on their pace.

“I think right now it is going to be about the team that can catch fire real quick and I gotta say I like the chances that the Rockets could cause some problems,” Pippen said on ESPN’s The Jump.

Rivers recently talked about the Rockets’ expectations in the bubble, claiming they have a good chance to make some noise these two or three months.

“I know there are 22 teams here but we all know that there are 3-4 teams that actually have a legit shot at winning.”

James Harden, Russell Westbrook and co. will try everything to take their team to the promised land. People have been waiting for the Rockets to give that last step and play for the title but so far they couldn’t get the job done. Will this be the year? We’ll find out in the upcoming weeks.

The NBA is set to return in 11 days, with 22 teams competing for the Larry O’Brien trophy.
