Golden State Warriors Can Create The Next Dynasty: The Best Big 4

The Warriors are often a major talking point in the NBA because they have an attractive style of play with some all-time great NBA figures such as Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Steve Kerr. But it’s the Warriors winning culture and dedication to excellence that makes them such a valuable franchise in the NBA.

  • 2021 Free Agency: Giannis Antetokounmpo

But this season has been a disaster because they are the worst team in the league right now. While this is due to injuries, they might want to get back on track as soon as possible next season because Steph and Klay are still in their prime. Some under-performing players and the expectation for the coming NBA Draft will provide the basis for an all-time great Big Four in Golden State.

2020 Trade: Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins And 1st Round Pick For Embiid

Joel Embiid

It is expected that the Golden State Warriors will get a very valuable first-round pick in the coming NBA Draft. After all, they suffered through a horrific season after losing Kevin Durant to free agency and Steph and Klay to injuries. They also parted ways with D’Angelo Russell, who was supposed to be a third star and instead were left with an under-performing Draymond Green and some young players. The Warriors are currently dead last in the West, with a 15-50 record. Clearly, the tanking initial for a top pick is well underway.

If they get a top-three pick in the Draft (especially the number one pick), it’s trade value would be immense with regards to some out of favor superstars. Joel Embiid, the current superstar of the Philadelphia 76ers, might become available. If the Sixers don’t win it this year and fail to show up in the playoffs, they might split Simmons and Embiid since they don’t seem to fit. Instead of a complete rebuild, the Sixers might accept Andrew Wiggins who still has great potential and a defensive specialist in Draymond Green to accompany the top pick.

A great young player in the draft, such as LaMelo Ball or James Wiseman, and Andrew Wiggins would start alongside Simmons and Green. This is a strong defensive lineup that has the potential to be NBA contenders. 3 starters for the price of Embiid might be too good to reject, especially if the Sixers don’t do well this year or if Embiid starts getting unnerved.

2021 Free Agency: Giannis Antetokounmpo

Giannis Antetokounmpo

There is often no smoke without a fire. We have all been hearing rumblings that Giannis Antetokounmpo finds some interest in the Golden State Warriors. After all, why wouldn’t he?

The Warriors are one of the best organizations in basketball right now, and they have dominated the league for the past 4 years before injuries to key players broke up their dynasty. Being a part of a winning culture that is built on values and morals is something that will align with Giannis.

Perhaps he also loves the California lifestyle, something he can become well familiar with. But the greatest reason to join the Warriors is for purely basketball purposes. Giannis is a dominant inside player and also an excellent playmaker, which can open the floor for Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson tremendously. KD gave Steph and Klay a third “splash brother”, but Giannis would give a completely different animal.

He would dominate the inside and is also a better playmaker than Durant. Giannis also has greater defensive potential and he could be the second coming of a second Warriors Dynasty inside one decade. Giannis handling the ball with Steph and Klay running on the break would be the most unstoppable offense in the NBA and it wouldn’t be close.
