Scottie Pippen: ‘Michael Jordan Is The Greatest Player Of All Time, Phil Jackson Is The Greatest Coach Of All Time, Jerry Krause Is The Greatest GM Of All Time’

Scottie Pippen shared his time with the Chicago Bulls with great people, some of the best the game has ever since, from his teammates to coaching staff and the management team. During the last episode of ‘The Last Dance’, Scottie talked about the people responsible for his success in the NBA, including Jerry Krause, the man in charge of creating one of the greatest dynasties in the league.

Even though he had a rough relationship with Krause, Pippen praised the man for putting together a team that dominated the NBA, winning six titles in eight years, going down as one of the best in history. He also talked about his teammate Michael Jordan and his head coach Phil Jackson, who also contributed to Pippen’s success.

“We can’t knock him, we gotta give him credit. And he deserves credit because he was the general manager of those teams,” Pippen said in the docuseries. “I’ve had a lot of great people in my life and that’s why my success happened. I played with Phil Jackson, the greatest coach in the game. Michael Jordan, the greatest player in the game. Jerry Krause, obviously the greatest general manager in the game”

In the docu-series we could see how Krause made the decision to rebuild the team prematurely, breaking up a successful team that didn’t show any signs of slowing down. Michael Jordan was at his peak, Scottie playing great basketball and Phil Jackson was already established as one of the best, if not the best coach in the league.

The decision was made, the Bulls were dismantled and they never returned to the Finals after that 1997/98 season. Krause carried out his plans, becoming responsible for the Bulls’ break up.
