Steve Kerr: ‘Steve Nash And Steph Are Exactly The Same Way’

Steve Kerr has compared his star point guard Stephen Curry with another all-time great, Steve Nash. When Nash was part of the great Phoenix Suns in the 2000s, Kerr was an executive for the team, and he can’t help but notice the similarities between Steph and Steve.

Not only did they win back-to-back MVPs, but Kerr believes the similarities in their games and the impact they made on teams are too big not to notice. Kerr joined Runnin’ Plays podcast with NBC Sports Bay Area Warriors reporter Logan Murdock, where he detailed how easy Curry and Nash can learn and e good at activities they just learned.

“Nash and Steph are exactly the same way,” the Warriors coach said. “You put a ball on a stick in their hand, whatever needs to be done, they’re going to figure out a way to do it.”

Nash and Curry shared plenty of similarities, starting from their MVP awards. They’re considered two of the greatest point guards in NBA and two of the best shooters in the history of the game. Although Nash couldn’t succeed with the electrifying Phoenix Suns that also counted with the likes of Amare Stoudemire or Shawn Marion, he did win several individual awards.

Curry, on the other hand, has won three NBA championships in five trips to the Finals. Perhaps Nash wasn’t successful with his teams, he will go down in history as one of the greatest PGs of all time.
