Steph Curry isn’t exactly known as an excellent defender. In fact, most would agree that it’s probably his weakest attribute on the basketball court.
To say, however, he’d have trouble guarding a 38-year-old businessman? That might be a stretch.
But that’s exactly what Mav Carter stated in a conversation with Warriors forward, Draymond Green.
“The world knows Steph (Curry) can’t f—ing play defense. I’m 38, haven’t played a decent game of basketball in 18 years, Steph would have trouble guarding me,” Carter said Sunday night in a conversation with Draymond Green. “But Steph is the greatest shooter in the world. When that motherf—er gets rolling you can’t stop him. He can hit any shot from anywhere on the court.”
Needless to say, Steph isn’t letting that nonsense get to him. He pretty much laughed off Mav’s comments on the “Pursue Your Passion” podcast.
“I hear it all, I don’t go lookin’ for it but I got so many people — I got some goons out there that send me every link possible,” Curry said Wednesday. “I know what’s up.”
Steph Curry responds to Mav Carter's comments on his defense:
"You doing something great no matter what it is, they're coming for you… People who actually know what they're talking about they're gonna speak facts & truth."

Yeah, it was a pretty ridiculous claim. Steph may not be the best defender by NBA standards, but he can still lock up “average joes” like you, me, and Maverick Carter.
