University of Central Florida star Mikey Williams appeared on the latest episode of Angel Reese’s Unapologetically Angel podcast and she might have been flirting with him in it. A clip from the episode went viral on social media on Tuesday and fans are convinced Reese was flirting with Williams after watching it.

Angel Reese: “Are you single?”

Mikey Williams: “Yeah.”

Reese: “Aaa y’all (excited).”

Williams: “I am single.”

Reese: “He’s single. You’re ready to mingle?”

Williams: “…”

Reese: “Okay.”

Reese: “Let’s do some storytime. Do you be keeping up with the WNBA? No, you ain’t even been to a WNBA game yet.”

Williams: “Nah I haven’t.”

Reese: “Just what you be doing at home?”

Williams: “Bro, I come home and I just nope.”

Reese: “What you been doing?”

Williams also invited Reese to join him in the water. He later claimed he could cook too and she stated she’d like to check that herself. Williams made it clear Reese was welcome at his place and she stated she would make the trip.

While social media is convinced that Reese was flirting with Williams, he does not match the criteria she had set for her next partner. In an earlier episode of the podcast, Reese stated her next man has to be 6’7″ or taller and must play in the NBA.

Williams, who was previously dating Arizona Wildcats guard Jada Williams, isn’t in the NBA but, of course, could be in the future. What the 20-year-old won’t be, though, is 6’7″ as he is currently 6’3″. I suppose Reese could make an exception for him. If they do enter into a relationship, she won’t be all that keen on saying it out loud.

Reese stated that during this episode, she would not post anything about her relationship on social media. She has only ever gone public with one partner, Cam’Ron Fletcher. Reese revealed they were dating just months after she won the national title with LSU in 2023 but then in March 2024, revealed they had split.

Following that announcement, Reese has been linked to two NBA players. Rumors were flying around in the offseason that Reese was in a relationship with Detroit Pistons big man Jalen Duren. The two never commented on the matter, however, and it seems like it was just a hoax.

The other NBA player Reese was rumored to be in a relationship with was Kevin Durant. Those rumors began because those two sat next to each other during the women’s basketball showcase game between Team USA and Germany in London on July 23.

Reese made it clear in a later episode of the podcast that they aren’t dating and was a bit frustrated that the rumors began over something so trivial. The 22-year-old did add, though, that Durant is her favorite player.

Angel Reese Fired Back At A Hater

Reese had a productive rookie season in the WNBA with the Chicago Sky but struggled with efficiency. Her haters routinely bring it up and she fired back at one who stated she couldn’t even make a layup on the first try.

“Do you realize I got drafted 7th in my class while ‘missing layups’ as a rookie shooting 39% on the year and was still an all-star and that was the worst you’ll ever see me??? Or you just laid up with your dog at home hating Adam?”

There is no denying that Reese isn’t a great offensive player at this point, but she still manages to have a big impact on the court. In the 2024 season, she averaged 13.6 points, 13.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.3 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game and was named an All-Star as a rookie.

Reese probably would have won Rookie of the Year in most seasons, but Caitlin Clark’s brilliance meant she had to settle for second place. Clark had a historical rookie season, but Reese made some history too, breaking Candace Parker’s WNBA record for consecutive double-doubles. Her play certainly deserved respect and it’s a shame that the negatives are what many choose to focus on.
