The New York Knicks had one of the most dominant displays of the NBA season so far tonight, as they completely wrecked the Denver Nuggets 145-118. The Nuggets looked like a shell of the team that wrecked the Lakers this weekend, and the Knicks showed why they are considered championship contenders this season.

OG Anunoby put on a star performance tonight with 40 points (16-23 FG), five rebounds, four assists, and one block, going 5-7 from deep. Karl-Anthony Towns continued his great run of form, with a monster double-double with 30 points (12-15 FG), four assists, and three steals. Jalen Brunson‘s (8-14 FG) 23 point-17 assist double-double also played a big role in the Knicks’ winning.

The Nuggets just looked off their game tonight, with Nikola Jokic putting up just 22 points (9-20 FG), seven rebounds, seven assists, and one steal in what was a quiet night for the MVP. Russell Westbrook was by far the best player for the Nuggets, with 27 points (9-16 FG), three rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one block off the bench.

The Nuggets were absolutely humiliated at home, with the Knicks breaking their franchise’s all-time record for assists in a game with 45 dimes. Spirits were high after their win against the Lakers, but the Nuggets were violently dragged back to reality by the Knicks tonight.

Knicks fans were undoubtedly thrilled with the massive win, praising their team, specifically OG Anunoby for his performance. Some also pointed out how the Nuggets seem to underperform when not playing against the Lakers. Knicks fans are optimistic that Mikal Bridges will figure things out later in the season.

“Tonight was the Most IMPRESSIVE win this season for the Knicks. Once again Towns outplayed Jokic and Big Body Brunson with a casual double-double!!! But that Damn OG with that MF 40-piece Spicy. He’s been the Knicks’ most consistent player on both ends of the floor this season.”

“It feels like the Knicks scored 200 points tonight.”

“Mikal Bridges at some point will figure it out and then the Knicks are gonna go a month without losing. We are not there yet.”

“Yeah, get on the OG Anunoby All-Star bandwagon, folks. He’s been every bit as important to the Knicks as Brunson and Towns.”

“Checking my phone at the airport to see the Knicks are up 20+ in Denver and Elfrid Payton is back in the NBA dropping 20+ assists.”

“Betting on the Nuggets against anybody but the Lakers is just poor money management.”

“Nuggets wasted all their luck on the Lakers and now struggling with the Knicks.”

“Nuggets getting B2A after winning their championship Saturday love to see it.”

“Blowing out the Nuggets. No excuses for Knicks nation not to get it done.”

Knicks fans have every right to enjoy their performance. Beating a team that was NBA champions just a season ago in the way that the Knicks did is nothing short of magnificent. This Knicks team is starting to click and is yet to be at full strength, with Mitchell Robinson still missing.

Even though this was a dominant win, the Knicks will not have much time to enjoy it, as they play against the Mavericks in Dallas on Wednesday night at 7:30 PM EST. Getting a win over the reigning Western Conference champions will only help the incredible confidence they gained after tonight’s win.
