The Best Offensive Starting Lineup In The NBA

The NBA is constantly listing players thanks to the way they performed throughout the regular season, and even though most of those accolades may seem meaningless, it’s actually kind of nice for them to get recognition for their work, not to mention the fact that some of them make some extra money thanks to that.

Contents
  • Point Guard: Stephen Curry
  • Shooting Guard: James Harden
  • Small Forward: Kevin Durant
  • Power Forward: LeBron James
  • Center: Anthony Davis

Nonetheless, it feels as if the league should actually do more teams rather than the good old All-NBA and All-Defense. I mean, if there’s an All-Defense team, why wouldn’t it be an All-Offense as well?

This league favors offense way more than defense nowadays and with the kind of offensive talents that this league features year in and year out, it would be really nice for them to have their own team. That’s why today, we’re going to create the league’s All-Offensive team.

Second Team: Damian Lillard, DeMar DeRozan, Paul George, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joel Embiid

Point Guard: Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry is the ultimate offensive point guard, and not just because of the fact that he can consistently connect from all three levels and he’s the greatest shooter in the history of basketball.

Truth to be told, he’s a master of the offense. He knows how to perfectly read defenders, play off the ball, share the wealth and find the open guy. He’s an underrated playmaker, but he has an elite basketball IQ and one of the best handles in the game.

Shooting Guard: James Harden

James Harden is never going to be a good defender, mostly because he just doesn’t care, but that doesn’t mean that he’s not one of the best scorers to ever play this game, and that’s why he’s so valuable despite his defensive flaws.

Harden is the best player I’ve ever seen when it comes to drawing fouls and finishing through contact. He’s really sneaky and has a never-ending bag of tricks. Also, he’s equally as capable of finishing with his right hand despite being a lefty.

Small Forward: Kevin Durant

This league had never seen anything like Kevin Durant before, a 7 footer that could put the rock on the floor and consistently knock down shots from everywhere on the court as if he was a shooting guard.

Durant is an underrated playmaker but is a willing contributor and solid passer. He’s the most versatile scorer in the league, as he can punish you from the post, pull up from three, drive and dunk, you name it.

Power Forward: LeBron James

LeBron James knows how to properly play all 5 spots in the court, so he definitely earns a spot in our team, not to mention he was his most unstoppable self when he played the power forward with the Heat.

James is deadly in the post, is unstoppable when driving through the lane, can throw skip passes as if he was playing some kind of scrimmage, and has the highest basketball IQ I’ve ever seen, not to mention his clutch shooting even though his jump shot has never been his best feature.

Center: Anthony Davis

Anthony Davis has grown as an offensive player due to the fact that he’s really put a lot of work on his jump shot, up to the point that he’s even developed a sweet stroke from three-point land as a stretch big man.

When it comes to punishing down low, there are few players that are as skilled as him, considering he used to play as a guard until his major growth spurt. He’s as athletic as they come, can finish with both hands, play in the post, and even hand out pretty dimes every now and then.
