Draymond Green Trolls Jusuf Nurkic, Says He’s The Biggest Hater In The NBA

Draymond Green has taken yet another shot at Jusuf Nurkic by calling him the biggest hater inside the NBA.

The Draymond Green-Jusuf Nurkic beef doesn’t seem like one that’s going to end anytime soon. Green recently made an appearance on The Big Podcast with Shaq, where he was asked to name the biggest hater inside and outside the NBA, and he went with Nurkic for inside.

“Biggest hater inside the NBA is Nurkic,” Green said. “… ‘Oh he need help,’ ‘That brother still need help.’ Like no, you need help. Big softie.”

“Tell me this though, Shaq,” Green stated. “How you gonna tweet at us ‘That’s all folks!’ and you got the worst playoff record in NBA history? The worst winning percentage. But you’re going to tweet ‘That’s all folks!’ Man, I can go to sleep for five years, you still won’t have half the playoff wins we’ve accumulated. How are you going to tweet that? But I need help? Who needs help here?”

Safe to say, Green wasn’t holding back. This beef originated, of course, when Draymond hit Nurkic in the face in a game between the Golden State Warriors and the Phoenix Suns on Dec. 12.

The hit led to an ejection and after the game, Nurkic stated that Green needed help. He added that he was glad Draymond didn’t try to choke him, referring to when the Warriors forward had put Rudy Gobert in a chokehold.

Green was suspended indefinitely following the incident and ended up missing 16 games in total. It was clear he wasn’t too happy about the comments that the Bosnian had made and you knew there were going to be fireworks when they met again on the court. Draymond and Nurkic did indeed exchange words during their first meeting after the infamous punch.

After that game, Nurkic stated that Green hadn’t learned anything from his suspension and would hit someone again. I thought that was a bit much considering the former DPOY hadn’t come close to hitting anyone in that game. Unsurprisingly, Green called out Nurkic for his comments.

There was a bit of a lull after that, but when the Warriors lost their play-in game to the Sacramento Kings to get eliminated from the playoffs, Nurkic posted a “That’s all folks!” GIF on X. It didn’t take long for the favor to be returned, as Green took a brutal shot at Nurkic after the Minnesota Timberwolves swept the Suns in the playoffs.

A couple of weeks later, Green took a shot at Nurkic as he stated that the Suns don’t have a big man, and the Bosnian responded by claiming that the Warriors forward still needs help. There is certainly no love lost between these two.

As for the title of biggest hater in the NBA, I would say Draymond has a great claim to it. The 34-year-old has been spewing a lot of hate regarding Nurkic, Gobert, and Kevin Durant.

Draymond Green Called Skip Bayless The Biggest Hater Outside The NBA

I mentioned earlier that Green had also been asked to name the biggest hater outside the NBA and the four-time All-Star went with Skip Bayless.

“The biggest hater outside the NBA is Skip Bayless, for sure,” Green stated. “Dude just sit up there and spew hate. I hope I give him a soundbite for his show because it’s dying. When you’re hating on LeBron James every single day for instance like, there’s nothing this man has done to give you something to hate on every single day.”

I would say Bayless certainly has a great case to be regarded as the biggest hater in sports media, with some of his takes regarding LeBron James over the years being flat-out ridiculous. I have to say, though, that Shaquille O’Neal is a strong contender for that title too at this point.
