Draymond Green hasn’t been back for even 10 games after serving a suspension for putting Rudy Gobert in a chokehold but has found himself in trouble again. He took a swing on Jusuf Nurking during an off-ball play, knocking the Suns’ center to the ground. Naturally, Green was ejected for this, continuing a shocking run of altercations this season.

Adrian Wojnarowski has revealed that Draymond could face yet another suspension because of this action, but the league office will have to review the matter.
“Draymond Green will have to await a league office review and the possibility of another suspension.”

Given Green’s last suspension was openly admitted to being a reputation-related punishment, it’ll be fascinating to see if the league punished Green with another suspension. If that does happen, Green will be the clear person to blame behind the Warriors’ early-season struggles.
Green is averaging 10.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 6.1 assists this season. His defense hasn’t been as impactful as it’s been in previous seasons. We may be at the point where Green serves his purpose as an enforcer but is actively hurting the Warriors with every time he tries to ‘enforce’ anything on the court.
A String Of Incidents For Draymond Green This Season
Draymond Green may take pride in being the heart of the Warriors, but his behavior this season has become inexcusable. At no point is anyone instigating Green, with the Warriors’ forward going out of his way to look for situations to throw himself into. We saw this during an early-season clash against the Cleveland Cavaliers. While Green’s ejection in that game was a little unjust, he unnecessarily tried to instigate Donovan Mitchell and Jarrett Allen, prompting the referees to toss him.
In two games against the Timberwolves, Green had major incidents in both. The first came with a lot of trash-talk against Anthony Edwards before Edwards delivered and led the Wolves to beat the Warriors in the fourth quarter of that game. The next game was where all hell broke loose, as Draymond put Rudy Gobert in a chokehold and was suspended for five games by the NBA for his actions.
Even last week in a game against the Clippers, Green was seen trying to slam guard Terance Mann to the ground in another unnecessarily dirty play. After a point, the league needs to just protect the opponents that Green is doing all of this too.
Three of his five incidents this season have had actual violence included in them. What happened with Nurkic is just another incident that shows Green needs to be dealt with seriously by the Warriors organization, as NBA punishments haven’t changed his behavior.
