Toronto Raptors’ rookie Gradey Dick and Orlando Magic rookie Anthony Black were both lottery picks in the 2023 NBA Draft. The pair exchanged jerseys after the Raptors vs. Magic game, with the resulting photo going viral for the obvious innuendo that comes when Anthony’s last name is put next to Gradey’s last name.

‘Black D*ck’ is what the photo read, something many fans joked about when the pair were drafted but people are stunned they actually pulled it off. Gradey did something similar earlier, taking a picture with Bruce Brown to play out the same pun but with a different color name. The pair have a strong competitive relationship, with a matchup in the NCAA tournament last year also.

Now that Gradey has a picture of his jersey next to Black and Brown, it’s only a matter of time before we see Gradey taking a picture with someone like Derrick White to continue adding colors to this innuendo-filled photo that is pretty easy to take and disregard.

The 2023 Draft Class Is One Of The Best In Recent Memory

The 2023 Draft Class stands a chance of going down in history as one of the greatest classes of all time, provided the players end up living up to their massive potential. The defining pick of this Draft has to be Victor Wembanyama, someone who may retire as one of the most iconic players the game has ever seen. Wemby is likely going to win Rookie of the Year as well, with his transcendent skill set shocking fans of the NBA.

Outside of Wembanyama, many high-potential players are still finding their feet. The likes of Anthony Black have been promising for the Magic while players like Gradey Dick are overcoming a slow start to the season. Top picks like Ausar Thompson are showing why they belong in the NBA with sensational two-way play.

A lot of the most productive talent from this class comes after the top ten, with the likes of Dereck Lively II, Jordan Hawkins, Jaime Jaquez Jr, and Brandin Podziemski, among others also having a win-now impact on playoff-caliber teams as rookies.

If this class continues developing and performing at an elite level over their careers, the 2023 Class may be remembered as one of the greatest ever. Not only did it produce one potential GOAT-level talent in Wemby, but there’s a chance that the most productive role-players and fringe stars in the NBA come from this class given the high talent of the players.
