Bronny James once again participated in warmups with his USC teammates on Friday ahead of their game against the Oklahoma Sooners. It was the third game in a row that he’d done so with his teammates, and his father LeBron James reacted to a clip of him warming up.

The 19-year-old, who suffered a cardiac arrest in July earlier this year, was moving well and hit a fair few shots from beyond the arc. You can check out the whole video below.

Hopefully, the Bronny storm can hit the court soon enough. While the teenager has been warming up with his teammates, he has not been cleared yet to make his debut. We first saw him out there with his teammates before their game against Brown and then before the contest with Seton Hall.

There has still been no word from USC on any timeline for his return to the court. Based on head coach Andy Enfield’s comments after that game against Seton Hall, I think we can assume that it’s out of their hands.

“As soon as his family wants to put out a statement, they will do that,” Enfield said. “I’m the wrong person to ask. I’m just a basketball coach so I don’t deal with the medical side of things. All I can say is that he’s a big part of our team.”

Of course, it’s only fair that the James household decides when Bronny is ready to play competitively again. This wasn’t some ankle sprain or something of that nature, so it should be the family that has the final call on the matter.

LeBron James’ Excitement At Bronny James Returning Home From College

While he isn’t fit to play just yet, Bronny is attending classes at USC, of course. He has also been at some of his father’s games for the Los Angeles Lakers and after one of them, LeBron shared his excitement at Bronny returning home from college.

“It’s just great to have him here,” LeBron said. “I mean obviously we know what happened in the summer. So, I see my man with a smile… He’s a big-time college kid, so if anybody got college kids you know they leave and you might not see them for a week or two and then they show up at your house, it’s time to get their clothes clean and they want a fresh meal. It makes me super super duper happy.”

Any parent with a college-going son or daughter can probably relate very well with James there. Bronny was at the game against the Houston Rockets on Sunday and the LeBron revealed it was the first time in two weeks that he’d seen his son. He has no issues with it, though, as he understands Bronny has a lot on his plate.

How Have USC Done Without Bronny James?

As for how the game against the Sooners went, it looked for a while like the Trojans would be the ones to end Oklahoma’s unbeaten start to the season. They had an eight-point lead early in the second half but were unable to build on it, as turnovers and missed shots led to that lead dwindling as time went by.

The game eventually went down to the wire and Otega Oweh’s putback with 1.4 seconds left meant the Sooners came away with a 72-70 win. The result dropped USC to 4-2 on the season, with their other loss coming to unranked Irvine when they were without two of their starters.
