Shaquille O’Neal was just trying to eat pizza and Doritos at the Oak Cliff Boys and Girls Club recently, but a kid had other ideas. When O’Neal grabbed the plate to eat, a young boy ran up to him and smacked the plate out of his hand.

O’Neal couldn’t believe it, but he’d have taken it all in good spirits. I’m almost certain that someone put that kid up to this, as there is almost no way he’d have done this without being told.
The 51-year-old has been helping such clubs for a very long time. O’Neal revealed he buys toys for thousands of underprivileged kids, and it all started with a boys and girls club back in 1992.
His mother had asked him for some money to help out such a club, and after visiting the establishment, O’Neal decided to gift toys to all the kids there. It’s something he has now kept on doing for over 30 years.
Shaquille O’Neal Is Trying To Get In Shape
O’Neal was seen as being overweight at numerous points in his career and post-retirement, he hadn’t taken great care to ensure he kept the weight down. That has changed now, and O’Neal told Entertainment Daily that he lost 55 pounds to go down to 351. He now wants to get between 315 and 330 and shared some of the issues he had been facing previously due to his weight.
“I was getting chubby and couldn’t even walk up the stairs. I didn’t like the way I looked in the mirror,” O’Neal said. “I was like, ‘I’m gonna lose 20’ and then I was trying to lose 20.”
A friend of his told him he was fat and O’Neal had some blood tests done, after which he was told to change up his diet.
“I didn’t know what the difference between a carb and a protein, at 50 years old I never knew,” O’Neal continued. “So, he was saying you can’t do this, you can’t do that, more vegetables, my iron’s low. And once I just started changing those certain things, it dropped.”
O’Neal revealed that some supplements he had been taking and some shakes he had been drinking also helped bring his weight down. Hopefully, the 15-time All-Star will reach his goals soon and be in a better place health-wise.

Ever wanted to know what it takes to feed a 7’1″ man who was a professional athlete? Well, O’Neal showed once what he ate for breakfast, and it’s quite a long list.
First on the menu were pancakes, followed by an egg white omelet with organic grass-fed chicken sausage, kale, bell peppers, six egg whites, and various seasonings. The breakfast menu does change, and Shaq revealed that he loves chicken and waffles.
He also stated he consumes 10 bottles of what seemed to be some kind of energy drink in a day. When you’re taking in all of that just for breakfast and having 10 bottles of some drink, it shouldn’t be surprising that your weight remains fairly high. Thankfully, the focus now seems to be on vegetables.
