  • Bleacher Report revealed their Top 15 wings for the upcoming season
  • Jayson Tatum leads the pack with LeBron James placed second on the list
  • NBA fans roasted the site for the list and had their own two cents on who deserved to be No. 1

Jayson Tatum and LeBron James occupied the No. 1 and No. 2 spots in Bleacher Report’s top 15 wings for the upcoming 2023-24 season, and it’s safe to say fans weren’t happy with the list.

While the site’s staff had their reasons as to why they would put the Boston Celtics’ superstar at the top, followed by the leading scorer in the NBA, some of the fans believed it was premature to have Tatum leading the list.

Before jumping into the reactions, here’s a quick look at the list:

1. Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics)

2. LeBron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

3. Kevin Durant (Phoenix Suns)

4. Jimmy Butler (Miami Heat)

5. Kawhi Leonard (LA Clippers)

6. Paul George (LA Clippers)

7. Jaylen Brown (Boston Celtics)

8. Mikal Bridges (Brooklyn Nets)

9. Brandon Ingram (New Orleans Pelicans)

10. Lauri Markkanen (Utah Jazz)

11. Paolo Banchero (Orlando Magic)

12. DeMar DeRozan (Chicago Bulls)

13. Andrew Wiggins (Golden State Warriors)

14. O.G. Anunoby (Toronto Raptors)

15. Khris Middleton (Milwaukee Bucks)

Here’s how the site determined the list:

B/R asked its best basketball minds to answer a series of random Player A vs. Player B debates. The question for each debate: “Which player will rank higher by the end of the 2023-24 season?”

“In total, we compiled 8,632 votes across nearly 20 participants, narrowing our final player pool down to a top 110. From there, a panel of experts ranked every player from 1 to 110. They used their own criteria, considering everything from individual production, impact on winning (during both the regular season and the playoffs), and also health/availability.”

Surely, B/R had their route map to ascertain the best wings in the league for the next season. They also mentioned Shaedon Sharpe, Brandon Miller, Dillon Brooks, and Harrison Barnes as honorable mentions.

NBA Fans Unhappy With Bleacher Report’s List Of Top 15 Wings: “How Is Jayson Tatum No. 1?”

Some just plain slammed the ranking.

Tatum was pretty much in focus.

The attention was on LeBron James for some.

Some fans picked Butler over Tatum.

A few fans put James and Durant at No. 1 and 2, respectively.

There was still a section of fans who dissed the entire list.

As guard-forwards, wings in the modern-day league are looked at as the primary playmakers and the team’s go-to on scoring and defense.

Keeping this in mind, it’s fair to have the likes of Jimmy Butler and Durant in the Top 5. If age was considered as one of the primary factors, then Tatum at No. 1 does make sense. But the list does have James, who turns 39 this season in the second, so chances are that the skill levels are looked at as the key factor in this case.

Nonetheless, everyone’s entitled to their opinion. What are your Top 15 wings for the upcoming season?
