  • Zion Williamson’s insane workout photos made their way around social media
  • Fans had mixed reactions to the images
  • Zion Williamson only played 29 games last season

Forward Zion Williamson is a player that many believe to have superstar potential, and most would say that he’s the best player on the New Orleans Pelicans. He is the key to this team’s championship hopes due to his dominance near the rim, but unfortunately, the forward has not been able to bring the team to the playoffs thus far.

Recently, we saw some Zion Williamson workout photos surfacing on social media. A lot of fans reacted to the photos,  with one fan predicting that Zion Williamson will be a top 10 player this season.

Zion will be a top 10 player this year

Another fan was less excited, noting that there are posts like this every summer and Zion Williamson still plays limited games.

U post this every summer and he plays 15 games

— Gracie (@graciem120001) August 18, 2023

One person suggested that Zion Williamson looks like a football player in those photos.

That boy look like a tight end or a damn defensive end lmao.

There were people suggesting that Williamson could become the MVP if he stays healthy.

If he stays healthy could be a future MVP!

A commenter suggested Zion Williamson is unguardable.

This man looks un-guardable 🤯

Some people did not buy the hype, with one comment saying that none of this means anything until Zion Williamson is on the court.

Means 0 til He step on that court

— Good Job, O (@ayocallmeo) August 18, 2023

One person was reluctant to believe in Zion Williamson.

i want to believe but he does this every year

Though it is easy to see why fans are excited about these photos, at some point, Zion Williamson has to actually prove it on the court. The key is for him to be able to stay healthy throughout the entire season. As of right now, Zion Williamson only averages 28.5 games per season in the NBA, which is clearly not enough for the Pelicans to be championship contenders.

This past season, Zion Williamson averaged 26.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game while shooting 60.8% from the field. He is clearly an All-NBA level player when healthy, and hopefully, we see him play a full season next year.

Zion Williamson Has The Potential To Be A Special Player

There is no doubt that Zion Williamson’s athleticism and slashing ability put him in a special category of players. However, the key for him is simply about conditioning and durability, and Charles Barkley notably claimed that Zion Williamson could ruin his career if he doesn’t get in shape.

Hopefully, we do see Zion Williamson dominate for a whole season. It would be unfortunate if we never got to see him truly achieve his potential, and we’ll see what happens in the future.
