  • Shaquille O’Neal once revealed he went on a date with a Middle Eastern Princess
  • He said he turned down a marriage proposal from her
  • Shaquille O’Neal claimed that she was too aggressive for his liking

Shaquille O’Neal is one of the most dominant players in the history of the NBA, he won four championships and three Finals MVPs in his career. In the process, he also became a massive celebrity and earned $292 million in salary alone.

As such, O’Neal has lived the high life since he first broke out onto the scene. And this has led him to have some strange stories, including the time he was involved with a Middle Eastern princess. He actually explained how he turned her down in an old interview.

“Yes. She just came and we went on a date,” O’Neal told Jimmy Kimmel, who asked him about the supposed proposal. “But she was way too aggressive for me. No. She wanted to pay for everything and I’m not used to that.

“So we went out to dinner and she’s like, ‘Oh no, your money’s no good here. And she pulled out her credit card. I was like… And I just felt like nah.”

Shaquille O’Neal is worth over $400 million, there must be very few times when he doesn’t pay for something when he goes out with just about anyone. The experience was apparently bizarre enough for Shaq for him not to consider it. Maybe Dennis Rodman would have married the Middle Eastern princess if it were him.

Shaquille O’Neal Has Bigger Regrets In His Love Life

A lot of men would kill to be able to marry a princess, but Shaquille O’Neal is unique in more ways than one. And he surely doesn’t regret it much either, having admitted that he made mistakes with the women that he did end up in relationships with in his life.

“I had two perfect women and I messed it up,” O’Neal said. “My first one was my baby’s mother, Arnetta, and then I met Shaunie. Shaunie was also a perfect woman, and I messed it up.”

Shaquille O’Neal has everything anyone in the world could want, but it’s easy to see that money and accolades aren’t enough to truly fulfill someone. And while he surely wishes he could have done better, the 51-year-old surely has enough women in his life not to think about these things too much.
