• Trae Young wonders if Julius Erving’s all-time top 10 players list is fake
• Erving snubbed LeBron James and Kobe Bryant from his list
• Dr. J is not a fan of modern-era basketball players
Julius Erving is undoubtedly one of the greatest NBA players of all time. The Philadelphia 76ers legend recently named the 10 best NBA players in league history.
Dr. J shocking snubbed LeBron James and Kobe Bryant from his list. Most NBA fans were shocked after seeing the list. Apart from fans, Atlanta Hawks superstar Trae Young also couldn’t believe Julius Erving’s list.
“This gotta be fake,” Young tweeted.

Dr. J’s list featured Jerry West, Oscar Robertson, Elgin Baylor, Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Karl Malone, and Tiny Archibald. Erving’s list was in no particular order.
Despite that, not having James or Bryant as one of the top 10 greatest players of all time is certainly rare. The two superstars have won nine championships between each other, among various other accolades.
Julius Erving Is Not A Fan Of Superteams
Spending his entire 10-year career with the Philadelphia 76ers, Julius Erving undoubtedly cared about being a loyal player.
But that type of loyalty is very rare in the current NBA. Players tend to regularly demand trades or move during the offseason to bolster their chances of winning NBA Championship. Dr. J is understandably not a fan of it.
“These guys, the prisoners are running the show and not the warden,” Erving said. “A star player on a team is like, ‘Screw this city and all the support they’ve given me, and I’m going South. I’m going to Florida, or I’m going to LA, or I’m going to Texas, or I’m going somewhere else.’
“These are business decisions, I understand. But they haven’t helped the game. They have not helped to keep the parity within the game when you build these superteams.”
Erving blamed Kevin Durant for starting this culture and called him out for hopping teams. While Erving’s take on the superteam culture is understandable, but his all-time top 10 NBA players’ list is very controversial.
