Dennis Rodman met with Kim Jong Un in 2013. Rodman’s meeting with the supreme leader of North Korea is still one of the most unbelievable things about his life.
So much so that Vlad Lyubovny asked Dennis Rodman if he knew him better than the entire United States government. Rodman shared an interesting answer in a recent interview with Vlad TV.
“Yep,” Rodman agreed that he knows Kim Jong Un better than the US government. “I ain’t gonna say it on TV, but yeah we actually talked a lot just me and him. We went to one of his islands, ski resorts, his planes, helicopters, and stuff like that. I went everywhere with that kid. We used to sit there, talk about cigars, and he just treated us like we [were] buddies for years.”
Rodman added: “He made sure that I was okay. He threw a party for me at a stadium with 140,000 people, and he asked them to put me on the stage there, and he started clapping. I was just standing up there in front of 140,000 people. He even drove me around with his cars to find me a condo to live there.”
Rodman was even offered to live in North Korea by Jong Un. If that’s not friendship, then what is? But the Worm rejected the offer for fear of never getting a chance to return to the United States.
Considering the strict “laws” in North Korea, Rodman may never have gotten out of the country had he accepted the offer. Either way, it was an unbelievable experience for the Chicago Bulls legend.
Dennis Rodman Became Friends With Kim Jong Un
Dennis Rodman was initially scared to visit North Korea for obvious reasons. But he later befriended the supreme leader of the country.
Rodman shared the story of how he became friends with Jong Un in detail. By the time his trip ended, Rodman and Jong Un were apparently buddies.
So much so that the Chicago Bulls legend even gave a signed jersey to the supreme leader of North Korea’s newborn baby.
