Though Ben Simmons has struggled as of late, he was once an All-NBA level player with the Philadelphia 76ers. A lot of people have given up on Ben Simmons during his tenure with the Brooklyn Nets, but there is still a chance that he will become who he once was in the future.

Every player has periods where they struggle, and it is clear that Ben Simmons has had a tough few years. Nets star Mikal Bridges recently opened up on how he supports Ben Simmons, and it is clear that Bridges is stepping up as the leader of the team and is willing to do anything to make Simmons feel comfortable.

“Just be there for him. Support him. Even if you struggle, that’s cool… You feel that pressure every single time, if I don’t play well these guys might not like me… For me, that’s not the case.”

"He's the one talking in the chat all the time and we all f**k with him."

Hopefully, we do see Ben Simmons return to being the player that he once was. At this point, it is unfortunate to see him struggle, and we’ll see if he can find his footing next season. He will definitely have support from his teammates.

Ben Simmons averaged 6.9 PPG, 6.3 RPG, and 6.1 APG with the Brooklyn Nets last season. The key for him is to be aggressive on offense and active on defense, and hopefully, he can turn his career around.

The Nets Hope That Ben Simmons Can Return To All-Star Form

The Brooklyn Nets could definitely be a solid squad in the Eastern Conference if Ben Simmons returns to All-Star form. In fact, Sean Marks claimed that the team’s hope is that Ben Simmons does just that.

“I think the hope is that he returns to that (All-Star) level of play. I mean, if he was 35 years old, I wouldn’t honestly be able to tell you that. But I think knowing that he’s mid-20s and he has still hopefully not reached his prime, we’ve gotta make sure he can get back out there and get back to that form. And hopefully, we see his game even evolve past that. But health is going to be the key to him.

It remains to be seen how well Ben Simmons plays next year. He is clearly a talented player, and if he can get past the issues he’s had with his mentality, then he can be a force for the Brooklyn Nets.
