Stephen Curry couldn’t lead the Golden State Warriors to consecutive championship wins in the 2022-23 season. It was a massive disappointment for him and the franchise, but he has since been succeeding in other aspects of life.

Curry went viral on Saturday after making one of the most epic golf shots, managing to hit a hole-in-one. He was asked about how his game has improved so drastically in this time, and that led to a hilariously honest answer from the superstar.

“Losing to the Lakers,” Stephen Curry said when asked about why he’s playing so well. “I had an early start on Tahoe prep, that’s it.”

The Golden State Warriors lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Semifinals, which was extremely hyped. Many thought the Warriors would win, but LeBron James and Anthony Davis, along with their new-look roster, managed to get the best of them in six games.

Stephen Curry was below his usual standards in the series, averaging 26.7 points per game but shooting just 43.9% from the field and 34.3% from three-point range. That surely made him feel frustrated, which resulted in a bad situation for all the other celebrities participating in this tournament against him.

Stephen Curry Made History With His Epic Hole-In-One

Golf is one of the hardest sports in the world to be great at, and putting the ball in the hole from 152 yards out in just one shot is almost unheard of. Stephen Curry may have limitless range, but even for him, this was an unbelievable achievement. It was reported after his shot made headlines across the world that this was the first time in history a hole-in-one had been recorded on the seventh hole at Edgewood Tahoe. Steph simply can’t help breaking records every time he does something.

The man who was partly responsible for his loss in the Western Conference Semifinals, LeBron James, was among the first to applaud Curry’s insane shot on the course as well. While the two of them have enjoyed their fair share of battles at the highest level over the years, many of which Curry has won, they seem to have a deep mutual respect for one another. With all that said, Steph will surely be itching to get his revenge on LeBron and the Lakers when the 2023-24 NBA season tips off.
