It is safe to say Brandon Miller hasn’t made the greatest of first impressions on the court in his short time in the NBA at the Summer League. Unfortunately, he doesn’t seem to have fared a lot better off the court either, as he doesn’t exactly come across as a student of the game.

When building a starting five for Bleacher Report using a social media filter, Miller couldn’t recognize Khris Middleton, Isaiah Hartenstein, or Jonas Valanciunas.

Not recognizing Hartenstein is understandable and Valanciunas isn’t a very big name either, but Miller not knowing who Khris Middleton is, is a shocker and NBA fans roasted him for it.

One hilariously said he wasn’t surprised, as Miller had picked Paul George as his GOAT.

A fan thinks the chances of Miller being a bust have gone up.

One fan thinks Middleton will roast Miller when they face off.

Miller has to be trolling here a fan thinks as he can’t believe the youngster doesn’t know who Middleton is.

A Houston Rockets fan trolled Miller by showing Amen Thompson’s basketball knowledge.

We know by now that quite a few of the prospects who enter the NBA aren’t exactly in love with the game. It just so happens to be something they are great at and that is fine, as long as you deliver on the court.

Brandon Miller Had A Rough Time In The Summer League

While performances in the Summer League aren’t a great indicator of how good a player will be in the NBA, you’d still at least like to see some good performances. Miller, however, really struggled in his first four games and there were some serious concerns that he might just be a bust

He played pretty well in his last game, however, as he put up 26 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and two blocks against the Portland Trail Blazers on 8-15 shooting from the field. It was the kind of performance you’d hoped to see from him at the start, but better late than never.

That display is the last we will see from Miller in a while, as the Charlotte Hornets shut him down for the rest of the Summer League. He finished with averages of 15.2 PPG, 6.8 RPG, 3.4 APG, 1.2 SPG, and 0.8 BPG on 38.1% shooting from the field.

Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
