Guard Jordan Poole has recently been traded to the Washington Wizards in a deal that sent the Golden State Warriors point guard Chris Paul. There’s no doubt that many fans were shocked that this deal was made, as Poole is a younger player than Paul and has higher potential.

Perhaps part of the reason that Jordan Poole was moved was due to his issues with Draymond Green. In fact, Poole unfollowed Green on Instagram the moment he was traded. Obviously, the biggest issue was the punch, and it seems as though some more details about the incident have surfaced. In fact, a recent report revealed that Jordan Poole had some insane trash talk for Draymond Green prior to getting punched.

“The first day he told Draymond Green… “I f*ck more b*tches at Michigan State than you” … They was running sprints he told Draymond, “Don’t worry about it you’ll be in Sacramento next year.” Then he told Draymond, “Why’s your Twitter handle MoneyGreen if u broke, u not gettin another contract.” That was the straw that broke the camel’s back.”

There’s no doubt that this is insane to hear, and this is definitely some savage trash talk. However, that still doesn’t excuse Draymond Green’s actions towards Jordan Poole, as physical violence is unacceptable.

This past season, Jordan Poole averaged 20.4 PPG, 2.7 RPG, and 4.5 APG for the Golden State Warriors. There is no doubt that he’s a quality player, and perhaps he’ll end up having an All-Star-level season with the Washington Wizards.

Steve Kerr Revealed Why Jordan Poole Was Traded

There is no doubt that the Golden State Warriors struggled this season, and changes were absolutely inevitable. In fact, Steve Kerr claimed that Jordan Poole was moved because the team “needed a shift.”

“But the biggest point is that we sensed we needed a shift. Didn’t mean we needed an overhaul, but we needed a shift of some sort. I think everybody in the organization sensed that. And it feels like we’ve made a pretty significant shift without giving up our identity and our sense of who we are as a team. I think, all in all, it’s a very positive shift.”

Jordan Poole getting traded was definitely a good move both for him and the Golden State Warriors. Both parties get a fresh start, which ultimately is the optimal outcome for everyone.
