New San Antonio Spurs prospect Victor Wembanyama is one of the most hyped prospects in recent memory, with many people suggesting that it is inevitable that he becomes a superstar in the league.

There is no doubt that Wembanyama has a lot of different skills, and it’ll be interesting to see how the San Antonio Spurs will use him. Recently, Jamal Crawford claimed that Wembanyamam himself will determine how he is used by the Spurs.

“He’s a unicorn… He [Wembanyama] kind of determines [how he’s going to be used]. Is he ready to go on the perimeter? Is he ready to play off the mid-post? Is he ready to hold the ball in pick-and-roll?
He’s so unique with such a skillset, it’s about which one’s ahead of which first in the pros because it’s gonna be a little bit different for sure.”

It is clear that Victor Wembanyama can fill a variety of roles on the court. He has a great perimeter game for a big man, but can also be used on the interior as well. Ultimately coach Gregg Popovich is the right man to unlock Wembanyama’s immense talent.

During his last season with Metropolitans 92, Victor Wembanyama averaged 21.6 PPG, 10.4 RPG, and 2.4 APG. It will be interesting to see whether he can be a star in the league immediately, and he definitely has the talent to do so.

Many Believe Victor Wembanyama Can Become The GOAT

It is clear that many are high on Victor Wembanyama’s potential, and the sort of player he could become. In fact, NBA analyst Chris Broussard claimed that his ceiling is becoming the GOAT.

“The ceiling, there is none,” Broussard said. “His ceiling is GOAT. That is his ceiling. Is it possible? Yes. If what we heard about him and you are saying it is not possible, he is 7’5″. He can handle the basketball, and he shoots it okay. But he has a form and looks like he is going to shoot it better. He can defend, and he is 19 years old with the MVP of the French league. I know that might not be the top-level European league but he is still playing against grown men. He dominated offensively as he led the league in scoring, and defensively.”

It will be interesting to see whether Victor Wembanyama ends up delivering on the lofty expectations that the public has for him. He definitely has the confidence and talent to be great, and the work towards that sounds now.
