Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was well and truly into the celebrations that unfurled during the Denver Nuggets’ championship parade. The guard had some fun with the fans and one of them was chugging down a better with a young supporter and sharing a wholesome moment with him.

With one of the fans signaling to KCP, the prayers were answered when he ran to the fan, toasted a beer, and chugged it down. The two were seen laughing and celebrating. Chants of KCP! KCP! rang out when he was guzzling down the beer.

In addition, he also pulled a move straight from the WWE, doing the Stone Cold beer smash much to the delight of the crowd.

Speaking to a reporter, “First ever championship, I’m just enjoying being a part of history,” KCP said. The win also marks his second NBA ring after winning one with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020.

This season, KCP averaged 10.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.6 assists for the Nuggets in the playoffs.

The guard’s contributions may not seem much on paper, but he was instrumental in coming through in the clutch with his beyond-the-arc shots and chances are he will be part of the setup in the upcoming season as well.

For now, he seems happy reveling with the fans, and rightfully so. The Nuggets waited 47 years and celebrations are in order.

Can The Denver Nuggets Run It Back Next Season?

To answer that question in one word. Possibly. The Nuggets are surely going to be title contenders, but quite a few factors have to go their way. For starters, they will need to look at retaining some of their stars who have been instrumental in their title run.

During the parade, Nuggets head coach Mike Malone said Bruce Brown would play for Denver. “Is Brucey B going anywhere? Hell no! We’re running this sh*t back! … Get loud!”

Health and consistency are the other two aspects that the Nuggets will be wary of. Their young roster is immensely talented, but they will need to keep an eye out for injuries. While they do have the necessary resources to gun for another championship, the other 29 teams in the NBA will be coming for them.
