Another NBA season is now close to being in the books after the Denver Nuggets took a 3-1 lead in the Finals. This 2022-23 season certainly hasn’t been short on incredible moments, whether it be Damian Lillard exploding for 71 points on the Houston Rockets or Jayson Tatum scoring 51 against the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 7.

We have also seen some special postseason runs from Jimmy Butler who has taken his team to the Finals and Devin Booker, who averaged a league-best 33.7 PPG in these playoffs. With all four men making their mark one way or the other, NBA fans debated which one had to go between them.

One of them went with Tatum for losing to the eighth-seeded Heat.

A fan says Lillard has to go because of his lack of postseason success.

A fan says Butler goes if it is the regular season but if it’s the playoffs, then either Booker or Tatum gotta go.

One fan hilariously said three are already gone, as Butler is the only one left in the playoffs.

A fan pointed to Butler’s play declining as the playoffs have gone by as the reason why he should be gone.

There are arguments to be made for all four of them, but the one thing that is noteworthy is that Lillard is the only one among them to never get to the NBA Finals. Is that all down on him? Certainly not, and you wonder how much longer he is going to stick around with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Damian Lillard Could Leave The Blazers If They Don’t Trade The Third Pick Of The Draft

Lillard’s future is set to be one of the biggest storylines in the lead-up to the NBA Draft later this month, as the Trail Blazers have the third pick. Chris Haynes is reporting that if the team doesn’t trade that pick, then Lillard will have serious conversations about parting ways.

Reports indicate that the Blazers could trade that pick and Anfernee Simons to land an elite small forward and if they want Lillard to say, that is certainly the move. Scoot Henderson or whoever it is that they pick at three isn’t going to be able to contribute right away and Dame needs someone who can help him win now.

He averaged 32.2 PPG, 4.8 RPG, 7.3 APG, and 0.9 SPG this season and if he can get another elite player alongside him, the Blazers could certainly make some noise in the 2023-24 campaign.
