The Miami Heat have earned the respect of the NBA world after their impressive 2023 playoff run. The Floridian team has played hard, never doubted their qualities, and showed up when it mattered the most all the way to the 2023 NBA Finals.
Bam Adebayo has played a key role in this run, and the big man admits that his team doesn’t necessarily play a pretty style of basketball, but what they do is effective and that’s all that matters.
“Everybody thinks basketball is always supposed to be pretty, it’s supposed to be fluid, it’s supposed to be this or that,” he said. “It’s supposed to look like certain way because that’s how other people do it. That’s not how we do it. It’s rugged, it’s in the mud, it’s nasty basketball. And, we don’t care. The way we play, how we go about it. You can’t change everybody’s way of basketball. It’s our way and we don’t care what you think about it, we don’t care how it looks, it gets wins.”

The Heat have, once again, shown why they are a very dangerous team in the NBA. Coming from elimination in the Eastern Conference Finals last season, this team didn’t have the best regular season.
As a No. 8 seed, they defied and beat the odds, getting past the No. 1 seed Milwaukee Bucks in the first round, then the New York Knicks in the second round, and more recently, the Boston Celtics in the ECF, the Heat showed time and time again that they’re not joking around.
Now, they are tied 1-1 against the Denver Nuggets in the Finals, ending the Nuggets’ streak of 28 days without losing a game. This team is working quietly to make a splash this postseason. Erik Spoelstra has done a terrific job from the sidelines and the players have bought into all of that.
They’re a hustling, hard-working team that is always ready to fight back. Even though they have a big star in Jimmy Butler, Miami boasts more players that aren’t afraid of the spotlight and can take over games when required.
Michael Porter Jr. Accuses Miami Heat Of Hearing What The Nuggets Players Talk
The Heat are trying everything to win, and Michael Porter Jr. has accused them of listening to what the Nuggets players are talking during games. This isn’t strange in the NBA, as plenty of players try to get in rival huddles during the matches, but the Nuggets need to do a better job hiding their secrets and tactics from the Heat.
Game 3 of this series is set for tonight when the Heat will try to get the 2-1 advantage over the Nuggets, who looked unbeatable until the second match of this series.
