Dwight Howard has been having a lot of fun since heading over to Taiwan last year to continue his basketball career.
Howard has hilariously been recruiting NBA stars to Taiwan, with the latest one being LeBron James after he was swept by the Denver Nuggets. Dwight took some time off from all the jokes to make an appearance on FanDuel TV recently where he expressed a desire to end whatever beef exists between him and Shaquille O’Neal.
“For years I said it, I don’t have any beef with Shaq,” Howard said on Run It Back. “I think Chandler (Parsons) can tell you, for me, I want everybody to enjoy life, I don’t really have no beef with anyone. The ‘Me and Shaq’ thing, I don’t know what it is. If we gotta go to dinner, if we gotta come on this show and have a discussion – whatever it is. We getting old, man we getting older, let’s squash whatever beef we got. Whatever it is and just keep it pushing.”

It really has been somewhat of a one-sided beef, as Shaq has repeatedly taken shots at Howard over the years and it hasn’t stopped even after he went to Taiwan. O’Neal questioned Dwight’s Hall of Fame status on one occasion and flamed him for having a losing record on another.
It really doesn’t seem like Shaq has any interest in being on good terms with Howard. He claimed last year that he would stop disrespecting Dwight because his mother had scolded him but as we saw later, he hasn’t stopped. O’Neal still seems mad about Howard taking on that ‘Superman’ nickname over a decade ago and he just needs to let it go at this point. Will he though? Probably not.
Dwight Howard Wishes To Finish His Career In The NBA
During this appearance on Run It Back, Howard also stated that he would love to finish his career in the NBA and win another championship. Unfortunately for Dwight, it doesn’t really look like he’s going to get another shot in the league at this stage of his career.
The lack of interest in him last year is what led to him going to Taiwan and the chances of teams being interested in him when he’s a year older, don’t seem great. Howard realizes that too, as he added that if he doesn’t get another chance, he is still grateful to have played in the league for so long.
