Ja Morant cannot seem to catch a break from getting involved in controversies. It’s because of no one’s fault but his. The Memphis Grizzlies superstar was once again seen flashing a gun on Instagram Live.

Morant was suspended by the organization for his actions. Following the suspension, Morant apologized for the incident… again. But according to five-time NBA champion Ron Harper, no one should believe a word of his statement.

“Trash!!!!!!!! He don’t mean one word, and we shouldn’t believe in this statement….”

Trash!!!!!!!! He don't mean one word and we shouldn't believe in this statement….

To be honest, Harper cannot be blamed for being skeptical about Morant taking accountability. After all, the 23-year-old did something similar last time around as well.

But it’s obvious that he didn’t mean a word of it as it didn’t take him two months to repeat his actions. Moreover, this time around, NBA fans believe Ja used the popular Artificial Intelligence tool, ChatGPT, to write his apology.

Should Ja Morant Be Arrested For The Second Gun Incident?

Whether he likes it or not, Ja Morant will definitely serve a suspension for his actions. But there are some fans who want Morant to be arrested for flashing a gun.

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green recently addressed those comments. Green believes it’s still too soon to arrest Morant as there are several unknowns about the incident.

“I’ve had my mistakes. I’m not one to come on here and condemn, and you shouldn’t be doing this, you should be doing that,” Green said. “I don’t condone what Ja has done. But what I will say is I saw a couple of people screaming like, ‘Lock him up, lock him up.’ It’s actually not illegal to have a gun in a lot of places in America. So to just start screaming, ‘Lock him up,’ you all actually don’t know if he broke a law. Like, you actually don’t know if he had a license. You don’t know if that gun was licensed for him. Most people probably don’t know whether it’s an open-carry state or not. You don’t know where he was and if he was in Florida, and it’s an open-carry state! You don’t know none of those things!”

Despite a few people defending him, it doesn’t automatically make Morant’s mistakes go away.

This time around, he needs to get some help and get his act together before he can return to the NBA. Otherwise, it would be an ugly end to the promising career of a young superstar.
