NBA Fans Believe Ja Morant Used ChatGPT To Write His Apology Following Gun Incident

NBA fans think Ja Morant asked ChatGPT to write his apology to the NBA after a prompt ended up giving a similar answer.

Ja Morant has had to come out and address his latest gun controversy after mounting criticism from fans and media.

A fan entered a prompt onto ChatGPT which asked for an apology letter for being caught doing something wrong for the second time. The similarities between that and Morant’s issued apology are too much to ignore for fans.

“I deeply know I’ve disappointed a lot of people who have supported me. This is a journey and d I recognize there is more work to do. My words may not mean much right now, but I take full accountability for my actions. I’m committed to continuing to work on myself.”

Fans are already not buying Morant’s apology given the similar tenor his previous apology had. Accountability comes through actions and not words. With his statement looking as hollow as an AI-generated tool could make, it doesn’t seem like this was a genuine statement and more of PR management.

Ja Morant’s Future In Doubt

Morant hasn’t been officially suspended by the NBA yet but a heavy punishment is likely to fall upon the 22-year-old point guard. Given his high-profile status in the league, every action like this affects the league’s relationship with its sponsors around the world. Even Nike is under criticism for not dropping Morant from their roster, a player they signed to replace Kyrie Irving when they dropped him midseason.

The start of next season is a future worry for the Grizzlies, especially if they’re without their mercurial point guard for a fair amount of games. With accusations of a drinking problem towards Morant, it looks like it’s high time for him to show some maturity and tangibly work towards bettering himself instead of portraying a persona his millionaire-athlete self is far removed from.
