Skip Bayless wasn’t mincing words when he lambasted Kevin Durant after the Phoenix Suns’ 125-100 blowout loss to the Denver Nuggets in Game 6 of the second round of the playoffs.

As if that wasn’t enough, he even labeled him, “Kevin Du-can’t” — much to the ire of KD fans. On the game front, the forward finished with 23 points, while Devin Booker endured a disappointing run with just 12 points.
The loss also saw fans tear into the duo saying they disappeared when the Suns needed them the most. Now, it’s Bayless who took to Twitter to share his two cents on the KD-Suns’ first run coming to a bitter end.
Kevin Durant Gets Real On The Suns’ Loss To The Nuggets
Durant admitted that the Nuggets were the better side on the day and were locked in from the opening minute.
“Yeah, it sucked,” Durant said. “It was a bad feeling. It was embarrassing. They came out and hit us in the mouth. We couldn’t recover. You gotta give them credit for being a disciplined team.”
“It happened pretty fast,” Durant said, speaking about the flow of the game. “They were getting whatever they wanted on the offensive side of the ball. So it’s hard to get going on offense, it’s hard to get going as a team if you give up points, that many points. 44 in the first, 37 in the second, 81 points at the half. That’s tough to get going.”
The Suns were supposed to be bonafide title contenders when they traded for Durant. They can take away positives from the season and focus on what they could do better in the upcoming season. But for now, they will have to take the brickbats that come their way and figure out a way to shrug it off.
